Paradox do apologise for the problem, but hope you understand there is literally nothing that can be done to remedy the error. It has actually happened before and has come good for no obvious reason - again, because the developers are out of business we cannot find out what situation or factor is causing this behaviour. We do not know why this error has occurred again just recently, when the above has been the case for some time. This cannot be fixed as the game's developers are out of business, and the GameSpy platform the game uses is also no longer in production or supported. However the in-game store is now permanently defunct so far as we know, and triggers the bogus "no internet connection" error you've all been seeing. You can play with the Expansions, as they are offered in the start-up menu. Paradox have now looked into this problem. Sure it is an old game and so not high priority to them but still, as Blubal rightly said 'Get it together and fast Paradox!' Really love this game, one of the rare games I keep coming back to time and time again but I am also starting to get annoyed with Paradox and am wondering if I shall bother with any of there games again. Have bought this game 3 times now since release, once without DLC when it was first released, once on here with DLC as Collection, and once again recently on GoG to test out the claim that it was DRM free as advertised on GoG, hoping it would fix this problem (It did not, it still suffers the same problem!). But after you closed the ticket, it stopped working, and I gave it 3 weeks, and tried tonight, and same thing. I had a ticket with support about 3 weeks ago, and the problem started to clear up then for a day or so, so I thought it was being fixed. why can't you just unlock it for us permanently? Give the customers a break - or, you can continue to ruin your reputation permanently instead. Paradox, we spent our money on this, we LIKE this game. Says it can't validate my DLC and therefore it is all disabled.
